Move over Brits .... The Tulips are Coming! The Tulips are Coming!

Hurray! Fall is officially here with the arrival of the Tulips and Fall Bulbs. Even though everyone is desperately clutching on to the final hot days of summer, it is with great excitement that I write this blog. This year the tulip bulbs look better than ever, and we have a extensive selection of Tulips as well as other Fall Bulbs such as crocus, daffodils and alliums. In order to reap the early Spring rewards of these gorgeous bulbs they must be planted in the fall before the ground is frozen. Next week, my monthly column in the Sturgeon Light Paper will provide you with all the tulip tidbits you need. If you don't receive the paper I will be sure to post the article online so you can have the outmost success with your Fall Bulb Planting. I have a feeling in the next few days the bulbs will be flying off the shelves so make sure you don't wait until the last minute to plant. I know everyone has major regrets in the spring when they see the displays of tulips and realize they missed their opportunity to enjoy such a beautiful and rich tapestry of color in their own yard. Stop out at the nursery & garden centre today and grab a bag or two or five. I promise you the vibrant colors in the Spring will be well worth the time.
